Hi, my name is Bethany Cagen, psychotherapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with adults, couples and older teenagers.

I am a trusted ally and guide to my clients on their path of self-discovery. With warmth and attuned presence, I welcome them fully and meet them in each moment. My approach is relational, creative and experiential. My goal is to help my clients feel more connected- to themselves, their loved ones and their true purpose.

I use mindfulness and somatic therapy tools that go beyond traditional talk therapy. These tools create new neural pathways to shift limiting thoughts and beliefs and help my clients step into a healthy place of empowerment.

Foundational to my work is a deep trust in the unfoldment of each person’s journey toward growth and healing. By carefully attuning to our bodies and reconnecting to our inner wisdom, we can all find more balance and joy in our lives.

I utilize psychodynamic and attachment theory, trauma resolution, somatic therapy, and the Hakomi method. I also provide education about the brain and nervous system, and teach concrete skills to manage overwhelming emotions. You can learn more about the tools I use in the My Approach section.
