Race, culture, gender, sexuality and other facets of identity are an important part of the tapestry of our life experience. I welcome these topics in all their complexity in our sessions together.

Individuals

Something has brought you here. Perhaps it’s a tense feeling in your body, depression, anxious thoughts, work or relationship difficulties or just a sense that something is “off”. Our work together can help you shift into a place of self-acceptance and self-compassion, live a more balanced life that is in alignment with your values, and find more flow in your daily life.

Couples

People need and are oriented toward connection, particularly intimate connection. Whether you want to explore communication issues, attachment patterns or sexual difficulties, therapy can be helpful in both nurturing the strengths in your relationship and sorting out the challenges you and your partner are having.

Older Teenagers

This phase of life is an exciting and sometimes anxiety-producing time for young people. Older teenagers can often benefit from a confidential space to talk about their private lives and learn new skills as they move toward greater independence. Themes that typically arise are identity formation, exploration of new experiences and worries about the future.
