Mindfulness is simply bringing your attention to what is happening in the present moment with a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude. It is through our capacity to compassionately be with the truth of our experience, rather than push it away, that we can make positive change in our lives.

I draw strongly from the Hakomi method, an experiential somatic therapy method that uses mindfulness and creative experiments to uncover and transform core material. These sessions often result in a greater trust in the client’s inner wisdom.

Hakomi is based on the Buddhist and Taoist principles of:

  • Non-Violence

  • Organicity

  • Unity

  • Mind/Body Integration

  • Mindfulness
